Fall is just starting to turn the air chilly. The trees are beginning to change colors as the nights slowly grow colder and longer. As time marches towards winter, frost will begin to appear in the mornings and the lake will slowly start freezing over. Predictions say this will be a hard winter, which is a good thing, Thread will not ravage the surface this winter but instead fall as harmless black dust onto the ground.
Threadfall:
Falling once or twice a week, the menace has returned to plague Telgar.
The Red Star:
Still visible it has reached the midway point for the pass.
The Weyrs:
Telgar is officially open for business. The Weyr is slowly filling up with riders and personnel and will be taking on its new responsibilities within the month. A council of Goldriders and Wingleaders rule the Weyr until such time as the first Mating Flight takes place and determines who the Weyrwoman and her consort will be.
The College:
Classes have resumed for the year at Fort Hold. With Weyrs going on search for the year's Candidate base, the teachers are not happy. Rumor has it they are even turning some Weyrs' dragons away.
The Holds:
Still struggling, the people living in the Holds are hoping for a break from the monotonous work day while still going about their usual task of trying to improve their surroundings and quality of life.

These will be added to and modified as we, Thyme and Moirai, see fit.
1. No cannon characters, aka. characters from the books, will be played. Neither will so-called relatives of cannon characters.
2. No finding firelizard clutches! We are not near any beaches and firelizards do not do well in the colder, northern climate we are playing in. If you want a character to have a firelizard, IM, email or PM the admins about it.
3. Please clear all major story lines with the admins. Deaths need to be cleared with the admin before it happens!
4. The Southern Continent was abandoned for a reason not too long ago. People are too busy trying to establish their hold on the Northern continent to worry about the South right now.
5. For players with characters riding green dragons: they may Rise as often as you like. If you want them to eat or blood before flying (and they don't have to) they will not eat or blood more than one beast. Greens do not clutch. So don't even ask to skip their chewing firestones
6. Gold-riding players, however, must obtain Admin approval for Flights. They must also acquire Admin approval for the planned clutch before it can hatch. Golds will not blood more than two beasts.
7. Your posts on the general board may only be PG-13 and below. We want this board to be friendly to younger players as well so please post any R rated threads or above in the Mature Board. Only players the age of 18 and above will have access to that forum. Make sure to read the rules posted in the Mature Board about posts.
8. All character profiles must be approved by both Admins.
9. All ranker positions will require an audition to make sure that your rp ability is up to par. Rankers need to be active and no one really wants to play with someone who's grammar is bad or only writes two-liner posts.
10. Candidates must be between the ages of 14 and 25. Females are currently more common on greens than males and every female has a chance at Impressing a gold.
11. Golds can be Impressed by heterosexual females only. Bronzes can be Impressed by heterosexual males only. Browns can be Impressed by males or homosexual females. The latter is very, very rare. Blues can be Impressed by males or by homosexual/bisexual females. Again, the latter is also very rare. Greens may Impress to anyone.
12. There are only a certain amount of each color dragon available, so make sure you check out the Wing Rosters to make sure the color dragon you want is still available.
13. The standard roleplaying rules apply: No Godmodding, No Player Knowledge, No Power Playing, No Perfect Chars, etc.
14. IC actions = IC consequences. Don't take IC actions personally.
15. No personal insults. Take up any issues, concerns or problems about/with other players or actions with the Admins. We want this to be as comfortable and pleasant a writing environment as possible and blowing things out of proportion and arguing publicly are never conducive to that.
16. There are only certain amounts of each dragon color available for creation, so be sure to look over all information on this site before creating a character.
17. If you are taking a leave of absence for longer than three or four days, please post a notice in the OOC board.
